Heather Sabin

Heather placed a baby girl in 2009. She is fortunate to only live about 10 minutes from her and is incredibly close to the adoptive mom. They have been to adoption retreats together, and they have been told they are like the same person in different bodies.

Heather is married and has two teenage boys that has parents at home. She was born in California, raised mostly in Oregon and currently lives near Seattle in Washington.

She is an avid Oregon Ducks fan and loves football. She has worked for a small regional auto-finance company for five years, and won’t leave until they make her, as they give her a week of vacation in Roatan, Honduras every two years. Her husband has made living there a part of their retirement plan.

Heather went to her first retreat with Tied at the Heart in San Diego, in November 2014, and she was hooked. She has been to nearly every retreat they have hosted since then, and has introduced many of her Seattle-area birthmother friends to their retreats as well. She started getting involved by making swag items, leading classes and discussions at retreats, and was asked to join the board formally in 2017.
